Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in heavy highway preparation, and construction with an emphasis on concrete pours, form building/setting, and finishing concrete.
Developing and mentoring new employees with upward mobility within the company.
Reviews work orders, invoices and maintenance schedules to plan construction schedules.
Responsible for accurate and daily entry of employee hours worked.
Examines blueprint documents to determine if specifications are met.
Inspects job location to ensure compliance with all environmental, safety, and health regulations (governmental and company) and issues directives to workers to ensure adherence to such regulations and policies.
Safely and efficiently may operate heavy equipment of various types.
Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
Follow directions of Project Manager as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or job site.
Perform daily pre–and–post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
Assist in training less–experienced employees on the proper operations, servicing and repair of equipment to further their abilities
Regular and On-time attendance required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervises a Concrete Crew of 2 to 6 employees
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. At least 2 years of Concrete Finishing and Management experience and/or equivalent of both.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ration, percent, land to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to type and use keyboards accurately and have knowledge of Database software.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Standard Driver’s License is required.
