**Concrete Form Setter** **Job Description** We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Concrete Form Setter who pays great attention to project detail and has a strong understanding of wood and metal properties. This role requires performing a variety of carpenter support activities. This is a safety-sensitive position. **Responsibilities** + Assemble and remove forms used for concrete installation. + Use assorted hand tools, including ten-pound sledgehammers, shovels, picks, handsaws, skill saws, and drills. + Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp project requirements. + Effectively operate small hand and power tools to assist with various worksite projects. + Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed, including cutting, shaping, and smoothing wood or other required materials according to requested measurements. + Construct forms and chutes for pouring concrete and erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground. + Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools. Distribute site materials to the appropriate locations according to project plans and specifications. + Ensure all materials are properly distributed and the site is swept and well maintained. + Promote a safe work environment and communicate jobsite hazards. Secure the jobsite at the end of each day and verify that all materials are properly stored. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in concrete carpentry and setting forms. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project drawings. + Experience with hand tools and rebar. + Strong carpentry skills. + Capability to handle labor-intensive tasks. + Strong mathematical reasoning and quantitative skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Valid Driver’s License. + Adherence to safe work practices in accordance with safety and health programs. + Initiative to ask questions and seek clarification. + Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. + Provision of own safety footwear. + Effective and professional communication skills with co-workers. + Reliability and punctuality, including having reliable transportation. + Experience in construction layout, blueprint reading, and shop drawing reading is preferred. + OSHA 10 Certification is a plus. **Why Work Here?** This is a direct hire position offering generous benefits for hourly craft professionals.
