**Job**
As a **Concrete Lab Technician** at UES, you will be responsible for conducting laboratory testing on concrete and other construction materials to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards. You will play a critical role in quality control by performing tests, analyzing results, and documenting findings. This position requires attention to detail, technical knowledge, and adherence to safety protocols.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Perform laboratory tests on concrete, aggregates, and other materials following ASTM, AASHTO, and other relevant standards.
+ Conduct tests such as compressive strength, slump, air and moisture content.
+ Maintain accurate and detailed records of test results and observations.
+ Ensure lab equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
+ Follow proper safety procedures and industry best practices in all testing activities.
+ Assist in maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment.
+ Communicate test results and findings to engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
+ Support field technicians with sample collection and testing as needed.
**Qualifications:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ Experience in a construction materials testing laboratory preferred.
+ Ability to use testing equipment, such as compression machines, air meters, and scales.
+ Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise testing procedures.
+ Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
+ Ability to lift and move heavy materials (50+ lbs.).
+ ACI (American Concrete Institute) certification is a plus or willingness to obtain certification.
