Batch Operators are responsible for communicating with crew members on the status of the workload, executing clean-up procedures at the end of the workday, and batching concrete loads according to specifications. This role involves accurately proportioning materials in batches to load into ready mix and/or asphalt material trucks, checking inventory control of raw materials, additives, and specialized materials, and notifying appropriate suppliers of production needs. The operator will also work with Production, Transportation, and Dispatch departments regarding material delivery and operate a front-end loader when needed. If interested **APPLY NOW** , see more details below **_for a quicker response email resume to (dharriswitter@aerotek.com)_** **Responsibilities** + Communicate with crew members on the status of workload + Execute clean-up procedures at the end of the workday + Batch concrete load according to specifications + Print out invoice tickets on each truck/load and file + Accurately proportion materials in batches to load into ready mix and/or asphalt material trucks + Check inventory control of raw materials, additives, and specialized materials and notify appropriate suppliers of production needs + Accurately proportion cement, aggregates, water, and admixtures in batches to load into ready mix trucks + Work with Production, Transportation, and Dispatch departments regarding material delivery + Operate a front-end loader when needed + Dump mix from tub into pour bucket **Essential Skills** + Experience in production, mixing, chemical handling, machine operation, and batching + Knowledge of precast concrete processes + Experience as a batch operator **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with front-end loaders + Ability to maintain equipment clean and safe + Perform utility tasks such as shoveling and water hosing + Perform miscellaneous work with loader as assigned by Quarry Manager or Lead man **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
