Job Summary: The Concurrent Quality Review Clinician is responsible for reviewing and abstracting data from patient medical records to be utilized for quality review functions. Coordinates additional initiatives and other quality review functions as assigned. Collects data for Quality Measures, FPPE/OPPE, Mortality, Readmission,Code Blue and RRT record reveiw. This is accomplished in conjunction with the objectives and policies and procedures of Flowers Hospital. Works concurrently with physicians, clinicians and other individuals involved in quality improvement initiatives and clinical quality measure processes to ensure standards of quality are met. Accurately and competently utilizes specific software programs for abstraction, surveillance and reporting. The Quality Review Clinician report to the Quality Director.

Qualifications: 

Education: Must have the required education necessary to be a Registered Nurse. Must have knowledge of personal computers and windows-based software.

Must be able to interact and assess the needs of all age groups from neonate through geriatric, as appropriate to the specific unit assigned.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years clinical experience.

Licenses/Certifications: Must have a verified current Alabama Registered Nursing license. BCLS certification required.
