Position Summary:

 

To drive & carry out Condition Inspection (CI) program across areas of the plant. Undertake condition Inspection related activities that ensures the Reliability & improves the life of Equipment, minimizes downtime & follow up to prevent reoccurrence. To maintain the various condition Monitoring equipment’s & also the data in the CMMS

 

 

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Responsible for driving the Condition Inspection program by prioritizing the critical activities related to the CI program, making detailed preparations for and organizing required works to be completed in their area of responsibility to enable successful and efficient execution of the CI work. Must oversee various tasks to successfully ensure that all plant equipment is in good reliable working condition through CI activities. Their goal is to reduce maintenance costs through reducing the possible breakdowns by implementing the Predictive maintenance concepts, extend asset life cycle, and increase output. Supports CI related training and awareness to all relevant maintenance personnel to ensure a dedicated and qualified maintenance team is developed for the equipment within the plant.

 

Adherence to plan & checks as per the Condition Inspection Program & reporting in CMMS /SAPCarry out routine CI checks & adjustments to prolong equipment life like Vibration Monitoring, Thermography, Temperature analysis etc.Reporting any major changes in equipment condition observed during the CI process or during the routine checksCarry out analysis on the data collected to identify/troubleshoot the problems & the recommended action plan to eliminate/reduce the effect Co-ordinate with third party for Condition inspection work as & when required & recording in CMMS /SAP Carry out lubrication activities in absence of Lubrication Expert Communicate with production operators for an overview of condition inspection Communicate with Planner & Scheduler to establish early equipment failure.Assist Planner & Scheduler to develop schedules & implement planning for planned preventative/Predictive maintenance.Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance through Kaizen/Improvement idea’sAll electrical cabinets & MCC rooms comply to the standard requirements according to a PM route on the correct frequency Basic Knowledge of RCA, RCM, FMEA etc & support in RCFA for the CI related failuresCollaborate with maintenance team to understand CI related needs, review and act on feedback from respective team members.Regular review of the CI inspection plans as per the KEM requirementsIdentify and evaluate potential vendors, suppliers, and contractors for the required CI related materials and services Manage CI related tools, Kits, Software’s etc. Feedback to Planner & Scheduler for any follow-up required and help in identification of the root cause of the problemsConduct criticality study for the plant to support development of CI routesDevelop & improve the Condition Inspection routesOptimize CI plans to manage the cost as per Annual maintenance budgetOwns CI related predictive maintenance plans, as well as the minor reliability improvements and modificationsMaintain records and files essential to CI related activities in CMMSQuick Responses to breakdowns related to CI activitiesAssist with engineering projects as required, especially in start-up management, Capex execution work etc.Perform any other reasonable work-related tasks as instructed by the Manager.

 

 

 

 

Record Keeping

Monthly data of CI related ActivitiesCI action plans under KEMRecordkeeping of all the CI activities according to the Annual CI plan

 

Safety

 

Undertake the routine CI checks as per Safety standards defined in Condition Inspection ProgramAdherence to Safety related Maintenance related compliance requirements Identify & report any unsafe working conditions/ machine faultsPropose plant improvements in terms of safety and carry out the same once approvedDevelop & Regular review Risk Assessment (RA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA) related to CI activitiesComply GMP & Food Safety requirements

 

Requirements: 

Academic:

 

Must have: Diploma Electrical / BE Electrical - education with 4-6 years of Experience. Authorities:

 

CI Inspections : CI related activities as per plan

Managing People (# of direct reports): Nil or as an when required.

Other: Total leading manpower casuals:  Nil or as an when required.

 

Competencies:

 

Critical TECHNICAL (Function-Specific) Competencies:

Reliability Maintenance activitiesKnowledge of equipment with respect to detail technical aspects.Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for any good maintenance planner.Understand the organization’s maintenance goals and how they align with core business requirements. 

 

Good understanding of CMMS (SAP etc.)
