THE JOB: 

The Convention Services and Catering Administrative Assistant is responsible for delivering administrative and clerical support to the department.  This role involves ensuring that all tasks are executed in alignment with departmental guest service standards and the policies, practices, and procedures of MGM Resorts International.  You will play a vital role in our mission to own the guest’s experience and create WOW memories that they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us.

THE STARTING RATE:  $18.00 / Per Hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Deliver exceptional service that aligns with the property's core service standards and brandCollaborate with managers to fully understand each assigned programAnswer and direct all incoming phone calls warmly; assist with customer correspondence and requestsPrepare guest reservations and amenitiesEnter program details into Amadeus/Delphi, including notes, events, and updatesMaintain files and manage access to sensitive and confidential informationSupport the assigned Director and/or Manager with client interactions in their absenceHandle catering inquiries through phone and email communication with clientsPrepare and distribute the Daily Event Sheet based on BEOs to all departmentsComplete and share reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basisAccurately prepare BEOs according to client and Manager specifications, processing any changes promptly

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

High school diploma, GED or educational equivalentMust be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidaysOne (1) year of previous guest services and / or administrative experienceProficient knowledge of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as standard office equipment
