**Salary** **Range** : $38,339 - $49,470 annually. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications. This position is Exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.

**Summary**
The Conferencing Services Coordinator works to oversee the scheduling of facilities, coordination of event logistics, and coordination of campus lodging and dining for the Conferencing Services program through electronic and oral communication including in-person meetings. This position will serve as a campus information source for facility and equipment usage, catering, event policies and procedures, pricing, rentals and space availability. This position may work weekend and evening hours depending on the event schedule.

**Essential Functions**
The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
+ Ascertains client needs and makes appropriate recommendations to client on how to best utilize facilities and resources.
+ Arranges all event logistics for clients including event parking, Information Technology, security, audio visual requests, custodial support, external rentals, event staffing, event space layout, etc.
+ Assists the Program Director of Conferencing Services with Conferencing goals.
+ Responsible for the hiring, supervision, and evaluation of Conferencing Services student employees.
+ Works with the Catering team to create and manage Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) for events.
+ Contacts and coordinates with third party vendors and suppliers for specialty equipment orders.
+ Coordinates staff for onsite, day of event support, including checking setups, catering deliveries, audiovisual setup, and inspecting rooms to meet client expectations.
+ Completes data entry of event information into the event management/ scheduling software.
+ Assists in the training of the department's student staff and provides ongoing support and development for all student employees.
+ Participates in departmental meetings and committees.
**Tentative Search Timeline**

**Qualifications**
+ A bachelor's degree is not required but the ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree.
+ This is an entry level position, we are looking for someone with the ability to learn and apply new skills in event management, conferencing, sales, and client relations.
