The Leidos Spatial Solutions team has an opening for an experienced Lead Configuration Manger to join the Pubs Task Order with the NGA FS2 Program.  The successful applicant will employ or recommend automated CM tools to implement CM policies and procedures. Develops or modifies CM plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the complexity and scope of the developmental or operational system. Implement CM discipline for the entire life cycle of systems. Perform change control and configuration audits.

Primary Responsibilities:

 Lead Configuration Management Board, including scheduling meetings, developing agenda, and run the meetingsProvide support at meetings, enter or updates configuration tracking information in appropriate databases, develop board agendas, notify board attendees of meetings, enter board related data in appropriate databases, install, maintain and troubleshoots problems related to Configuration Control Board action items/issuesMaintain records and databases of configuration items, including their status, history, and changes. Ensure that records are accurate, complete, and readily accessible for auditing and decision-making.Track and monitor status of Change Requests (CRs), Discrepancy Reports (DRs) and Request for Changes (RFCs)Report status of CRs, DRs and RFCs, Record and track Action Items, Report status of Action ItemsFamiliarity with managing software releases and understanding the dependencies between various configuration items (e.g., software versions, hardware specifications).Understand concepts, and assist in documenting hardware and software version control processes, policies, configuration management processes and proceduresUnderstand basic concepts, assist in maintaining and developing the environment for hardware and software product build, staging, testing and integration Assist in defining and implementing hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures, such as creating product build scripts and procedures, and integrating those scripts with the hardware and software build processUtilize configuration management tools to store, track, and manage configuration itemsDevelop hardware and software version control processes, policies and procedures and ensure that they are followed on hardware and software development projectsApply concepts and define and implement hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures, such as creating product build scripts and procedures, and integrate those scripts with the hardware and software build processServe as an advisor to (or non-voting member of) Change Management Board (CMB)

Basic Qualifications:

12 - 15 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or  3 years’ experience with a Master’s degree, or 10 - 13 years’ experience with an Associates’ degree, or 10 years’ experience with a High School/General Education Development diploma.Top Secret Security ClearanceExperience working with Continuous Integrations tools such as GitLabExperience designing and managing a CMDBExperience working in an AGILE environmentExperience in managing development and delivery of multiple overlapping ReleasesExperience managing hardware and software configuration baselinesFamiliarity with Risk and Issue ManagementStrong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, team-oriented environmentExperience establishing goals and plans that meet project objectivesTrack record of working effectively within a team, and support to peers toward improved processes and resultsUS Citizenship is required due to the nature of the government contracts we support.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of AWS cloud services and the cloud ecosystem. Experience working in an Agile environmentDoD 8570.11- IAT Level II certification (currently Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, or SSCP along with an appropriate computing environment (CE) certification)Original Posting:March 5, 2025

Pay Range:Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
