Job Title: Configuration Management Engineer

Job Description

In this role, you will modernize outdated data to ensure it is complete and updated from a drawing and part perspective. This includes confirming that parts are still manufacturable and updating drawings to align with new standards. You will also work on existing data that needs to be completed and uploaded to the PLM. A major part of this role involves working with Catia software to verify the accuracy of CAD information. Additionally, you will provide reliable and impartial technical support to the Sustainment Engineering Team within the Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC).

ResponsibilitiesPerform technical reviews of Technical Data Packages (TDPs), which include drawings and specifications, Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and Requests for Variance (RFVs).Conduct technical reviews on vehicles, systems, subsystems, components, and spare parts supported by the GVSC Sustainment team.Review and check technical drawings in support of re-draw efforts and prepare Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Engineering Record Releases (ERR).Conduct technical reviews of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Requests for Variance (RFVs) for vehicles, providing technical comments and recommendations concerning the implementation of proposed changes.Essential SkillsMechanical Engineering degree.Proficiency in Catia software for reviewing and supporting redraw efforts.Experience with TeamCenter and familiarity with converting to Windchill.Strong knowledge of Change Management, including making design changes and completing TDPs.Proficiency in GD&T for validating and making necessary changes to drawings.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to obtain a US secret level security clearance.Work Environment

This is a team-based environment that currently operates work-from-home, transitioning to 4 days remote and 1 day on-site. You will be working within the existing sustainment team, supporting various government projects and upcoming military technology related to the Army.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.50
