Job Overview: As a Configuration Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and security of the customer’s computer systems, servers, and software. Your responsibilities include ensuring proper configuration documentation, managing changes, and supporting ongoing operations.
Duties:
Configuration Documentation:Maintain accurate records related to system configurations.Register and authorize all changes to configurations.Ensure compliance with configuration management policies.Change Management: Handle change order processing for systems, hardware, software, and related equipment.Collaborate with development and maintenance teams to implement changes.Review and recommend improvements to existing configuration management processes.
Operational Support: Fulfill Configuration Management Service Requests.Perform operational activities as defined by Configuration Management policies.Assist in the setup of computer software.
Training and Communication:Organize and conduct training sessions on software usage.Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding configuration changes.Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations. Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Technology, Computer Science).Minimum of 1 year of experience in configuration management.Familiarity with ITIL processes and configuration management concepts.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
