The Configuration Manager shall posses a minimum of two (2) years experience and a detailed knowledge of the configuration management process including: configuration, identification, change control, configuration status accounting, configuration audits and Configuration Management Standards.
The Engineer may accept other relevant trade experience in lieu of the aforementioned. The Configuration Manager shall perform the following activities:
Develop and provide the Configuration Management Plan
List of Configuration Items
Product Breakdown Structure
Migration Plan for transfer of database and process
Conduct Configuration Change Control
Regulate the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents.
Conduct Configuration Status Accounting
Conduct audits to ensure that as-installed configuration items correspond with the configuration item database.
Provide the Engineer with a certified configuration database that accurately reflects the configuration data of the as-installed configuration items.
