Job Description
Collect and update ERP configurations for design documentation, including drawings, work instructions, and routers. Verify and approve drawings before they are released to production. Develop part drawings, review Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and suggest improvements, and create redlined documents for immediate production support. Maintain design development packages for new products, source suitable prototype samples and parts for fabrication, and retrieve materials from stock while ensuring traceability. Determine component lead times to meet schedules and identify new components. Generate bills of material, develop prototype and production routers, and prepare new documents for production. Write and maintain AS9100 Engineering documentation, order and manage supplies for Design, Drafting, and Document Control, and identify similar parts and assess the application of changes. Evaluate and implement changes to routers, incorporate approved document changes from the Change Control Board (CCB), and create forms. Prepare Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to incorporate changes from ECRs, redlines, and production requests, chair the Change Control Board, and participate in the Epicor Implementation Team. Train new employees on Epicor, assign ECO tasks, create item master records in Epicor (MRP system), and develop new bills of material in Epicor (MRP system). Maintain bills of material through the ECO process in Epicor (MRP system), manage numbering systems, assign part and drawing numbers, maintain original master documentation, verify the completeness of documentation, and ensure affected departments are notified of ECO changes.
