Summary You will serve as a CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the TRIDENT PROGRAMS MANAGEMENT DIVISION OF THE BUSINESS AND MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR. Responsibilities You will serve as the Command’s TRIDENT Configuration Manager. You will review all formal work documents (Automated Work Request (AWR) both Controlled and Non-Controlled Formal Work Packages) issued for Trident class submarines for possible configuration change(s). You will act as the Trident Refit Facility Bangor's (TRFB’s) representative concerning Configuration Management and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) issues both internal and external to the command. You will determine which jobs affect form, fit, or function using numerous online sources and databases along with complex drawings and technical documentation. You will function as the Command’s point of contact with customers for resolution of configuration issues. You will collect, evaluate and analyze the technical information that involve configuration changes, gather supporting technical data and accomplish the initial review and assessment. You will provide detailed explanations of modifications and justifications for changes as required. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-12 Level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Collecting, evaluating and analyzing configuration change technical information to accomplish initial review and assessment, advising customers, resolving conflicts and submitting reports for a submarine maintenance program. GS-11 Level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing and evaluating technical information to accomplish initial review and assessment of configuration change requests and assisting in completing reports for a submarine maintenance program. Education GS:11 Level: In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: I have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. OR I have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
