You'll have…

Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in engineering, computer science or a related field. Requires 5 years of experience in the position offered or 5 years of experience developing in Java or Kotlin languages. In lieu of bachelor’s degree, employer will accept 3 years of academic studies toward a bachelor’s degree or a 3-year foreign baccalaureate in aforementioned fields and 6 years of experience as stated. Requires 5 years of experience developing enterprise Java applications using the Spring framework (SpringBoot). Requires 5 years of experience developing with SQL databases, including query development, and performance tuning. Requires 3 years of experience developing in area of product definition and configuration engine. Requires 3 years of experience building Cloud-enabled solutions. Requires 3 years of experience conducting continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline implementations. Requires 3 years of experience defining and designing monitoring dashboards and alerts using monitoring tools. Requires 3 years of experience developing with source control systems. Employee reports to office in Dearborn, MI. Position may work from home, but must live within commuting distance of stated office. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.

We are offering a salary of $123,781 to $168,583 per year.

What you'll be able to do:

Configurator Software Engineer positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, MI). Design and develop REST APIs for validating product configurations. Perform product definition and engine configuration using MDD (multi-decisional diagram) algorithms. Work with Multi Valued decision diagram algorithms data structures. Work with product owners, product managers and end users to understand their business processes and needs. Perform enterprise systems design in Java, Kotlin and Spring and Springboot framework. Apply experience with SQL databases, including query development and performance tuning. Perform front end development using Angular JS. Performs Test Driven development using Junit and Spring Test Frameworks. Implement Continuous integration / continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline for automatic deployment on Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
