Job Description:

Unpaid volunteer contributing time to Intermountain Healthcare in various roles.

The volunteer program requires a six-month commitment - with a minimum of one 3-hour shift per week, exceptions being for vacation or illness. We're looking for individuals that can be here consistently. We depend on our volunteers because you truly do make a difference.

This is an unpaid position that gives you the opportunity to use your talents, meet new people and experience the pleasure that comes from making a difference in people’s lives.

We are looking for caring and compassionate individuals to serve in such areas as:

Kids Crew-- Staff the in-patient/outpatient playrooms, assist child life specialists, take around the hospitality cartDepartment Support-Infusion, Same Day Surgery, Outpatient Rehab and Emergency Department: Assisting families, playing with children, supporting care-givers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be at least 16 years of ageAble to work alone and independentlyHave good communication and listening skillsAbility to follow instructionsAbility to work with diverse populationsPhysical mobility (walking, bending, standing)Adequate hearing and visionSensitive to patient and family situations
