The Position Conservation Aids assist professional staff in a variety of projects involving the conservation and preservation of the State's natural resources. Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation. Most positions are of a 3 or 6 month duration over the summer and early fall months, working four 10-hour days in the field and camping at remote location sites on the workdays. The Fisheries Management Division has seasonal openings in the Elko, Fallon, Reno, and Winnemucca. All positions require a valid driver's license at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. Seasonal housing during the employment period for these positions is available in Winnemucca and Elko at no cost. Applicant is responsible for securing housing at all other locations.
