As a Cylinder Decanter you will be responsible for assisting the production manager and team lead with overall production requirements for incoming and outgoing refrigerants as part of the Refri-Claim Program. Primary job duties will be to segregate cylinders and consolidate cylinders into bulk tanks or half-tons and move empty cylinders to the refurbishing department as necessary. Key Responsibilities: + Operate and monitor refrigeration units, ensuring they meet required temperature and performance standards. + Consolidate and manage refrigerated inventory according to specified storage procedures. + Monitor system controls, valves, and temperature gauges to ensure systems are operating within set parameters. + Maintain accurate logs of temperature readings, equipment performance, and inventory levels. + Understand hazards of various gases; sizes, and contents of cylinders by reading and interpreting cylinder labels and the color-coding of tanks + Demonstrate the ability to be a safety leader by fostering a strong safety culture and ensuring a safe work environment with a commitment to zero injuries, emissions, and leaks + Maintain high standards of housekeeping and support 5S and lean projects Experience, Knowledge, and Qualification + High School Diploma or equivalent + DOT certification or must be obtained within 1 year + Forklift, overhead crane, and clamp operation experience or ability to become certified within 60 days + Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hand tools + Functional computer skills + EPA 608 Universal Certificate or must be able to obtain within 6 months (not required for RTC in BG) Physical Demand Requirements:    + Frequently pushes, pulls, moves, and lifts up to 50 pounds independently + Frequently operates a computer using a traditional keyboard to input detailed information such as serial numbers + Manipulations (seizing, holding, grasping or otherwise working with hands) up to 50-75% of the day + Constantly works in environments with uncontrolled climate and some exposure to outdoor weather conditions We are an equal opportunity employer.
