Constructability Review Specialist – General

About the Role:
Are you an experiencedConstruction Administrator, Project Manager, or Superintendentwith a keen eye fordesign consistency, constructability, and project coordination? Do you thrive in preconstruction phases, ensuring design integrity and minimizing costly changes? If so, we want you on our team!
We are seeking aConstructability Review Specialistto support theDesign Manager and Owner Authorized Representativein reviewing and refining project plans before construction begins. This role is instrumental inidentifying and resolving design conflicts, reducing RFIs and Change Orders, and ensuring seamless coordination across design disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Scope & Scheduling
+ Assist in defining and reviewing theProject Requirement Document (PRD)scope of work and schedule, includinginterim housing requirements.
Value Engineering & Design Coordination
+ Providevalue engineering recommendationsat the outset of the design phase to optimize project efficiency.
+ Ensure design documents areaccurately coordinated across multiple disciplines, reducing inconsistencies and conflicts.
+ Conductcomprehensive constructability reviewsof pre-bid construction documents.
Quality Assurance & Constructability Review
+ Review design deliverables toidentify ambiguities, errors, and omissionsthat could impact construction.
+ MinimizeRFIs and Change Ordersby ensuring design clarity and alignment with project goals.
+ Work collaboratively with theDesign Manager and Owner Authorized Representativeto address design concerns proactively.
Project Coordination & Documentation
+ Write and reviewRequests for Clarifications (RFCs), submittals, and change orders.
+ UtilizeBluebeam, MS Word, MS Excel, and other softwareto document and track constructability issues.
+ Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support project success.
What You Bring:
+ 15+ years of professional experienceinarchitecture, construction administration, or project managementwithin public/educational facility construction or large commercial projects.
+ Expertise in design and construction oversight, ensuring smooth coordination and constructability of project plans.
+ Proven track record of managingcomplex projects with a construction value of $8M+ for a single project or $80M+ cumulatively(for architecture-based roles).Alternatively,project superintendent or project manager experience on projects exceeding $30M individually or $400M cumulatively.
+ Strong proficiency inBluebeam, MS Word, and MS Excelfor document review and project tracking.
+ Ability to workquickly, efficiently, and confidentlyin high-pressure environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in Architecture(preferred) or equivalent college-level coursework with additional experience.Proficiency in construction documentation, submittal reviews, and change order management.
