Description Job Title: Construction Accountant Job Description: + Oversee all financial aspects of the company's construction projects. + Prepare and analyze cost reports that track budgets, expenses, and profitability. + Maintain accurate and detailed financial records using construction accounting software. + Review construction contracts and adjust budgets and schedules based on contract terms. + Assist in ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations. + Coordinate with project managers and other staff to confirm the accuracy of transactions and financial reports. + Forecast costs and revenues, manage tax payments, and conduct audits and checks. + Process invoices, track bank account balances, and maintain financial statements. Requirements Required Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. + A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction accounting or a related field. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a strong command of construction accounting software (e.g., Procore, Sage 300 CRE). + Solid understanding of financial and accounting principles, as well as construction industry rules and regulations. + Excellent analytical skills coupled with the ability to create and present detailed reports. + Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information. + Excellent oral and written communication skills, and good organizational skills.
