Construction Administrator
Apogee Consulting Group is looking for an experienced construction professionals (superintendents, architects, or MEP engineers) who desire to apply a deep understanding of the construction process in a more controlled and predicable environment. Apogee is looking for individuals who have a deep understanding of construction, are professional, helpful and technically capable of interpreting and defending contract documents. Provide or coordinate RFI responses, Submittal reviews, ASIs, and IGCEs. Preemptive review of RFIs and submittals for completeness and clarity. Submit to DORs after determining completeness. Coordinate with estimating. Attending OAC meetings and document construction progress. Coordinate with multiple departments to deliver ASI and IGCE deliverables. Coordinate or perform on-site inspections and create site observation reports. Review and evaluate all project documents to ensure strict compliance during construction. Pre-submission “CA” check for potential issues during construction. This could include constructability, sequencing, or clarity issues. Assess contract documents and review for level of constructability and prepare reports on design deficiencies for the supervisor. Review for issues related to best practices or lessons learned. Assist with the development of department processes and training. Comply with safety requirements by ensuring adherence to construction and safety regulations when on project sites. Coordinate with Project DORs for all matters pertaining to changes of design documents during construction. Consult with assigned personnel on unusual or complex design problems and provide creative solutions. Maintain clear communications within the department, with project DORs, design department managers, QAQC Department, and Cost Estimating Department. A successful construction administrator has five or more years in design or construction of healthcare, medical office building, commercial, municipal, federal, state and/or office buildings and demonstrates expertise in a variety of construction and project practices and procedures. Experience with Veterans Affairs is advantageous. Licensure preferred or related certification required. Computer Skills: Revit (open and review), AutoCAD (open and review), MS Office Suite, Bluebeam Studio Review proficiency. Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or more in architecture or engineering preferred. Travel: Up to 40% of the time.
