Construction Administrator
Job Title: Construction AdministratorJob Description We are seeking a Construction Administrator with over 7 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will review and respond to RFIs, interpret construction documents, coordinate with design teams and clients, review and approve contractor payment requests, and develop cost estimates for change orders. This role involves frequent travel to project sites and a mix of office and field work. Responsibilities + Review and answer RFIs with input from engineers and design staff. + Interpret construction documents and coordinate with design teams and clients. + Review, approve, and comment on contractor payment requests. + Develop cost estimates for construction change orders. + Provide review, commentary, and cost analysis of contractor change order proposals. + Log submittals and supporting documentation throughout the project. + Review material submittals for compliance with quality requirements, design drawings, and specifications. + Oversee contractor schedules and progress. + Review and process as-built documents for accurate project completion records. + Review and comment on project Operation and Maintenance Manuals for compliance. + Assist contractors in interpreting contract documents to ensure adherence to design and construction requirements. + Document construction activities and evaluate contractor progress. + Take progress photos and videos as required. + Attend pre-construction meetings to establish roles and responsibilities. + Conduct punch-out inspections and follow-up visits to verify work completion according to contract drawings, specifications, and codes. + Review design projects for constructability before final submission. Essential Skills + 7+ years of building design experience. + Knowledge of AutoCAD. + Experience in construction administration. + Understanding of engineering principles related to electrical and mechanical systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in healthcare, office buildings, education, government facilities, retail, commercial, hospitality, and mixed-use projects. Work Environment This role is based in our office in Catonsville, with frequent site visits. We offer a flexible schedule and a supportive work environment.
