Our client, a reputable national law firm, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Attorney to join their growing Construction practice group in Nashville. This role offers a clear path for advancement and the chance to build a successful career in construction law.

 

Candidate Profile:

JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record. Bar Admission in Tennessee. 1–4 years of substantive experience in construction law, with a focus on both transactional and litigation matters. Experience representing owners and developers in construction disputes, including delay claims, liens, compensation issues, and quality-of-work disputes. Background in construction transactions, particularly in planning, negotiation, design, and construction phases for complex projects. Strong writing skills, with experience in complex legal drafting for both litigation and transactional cases. A background in the construction industry prior to law school is preferred, but not required. Courtroom and deposition experience is preferred.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Represent clients in a range of construction-related disputes, defending owners and developers in litigation, arbitration, and other dispute resolution settings. Handle complex construction transactions from the planning phase through project completion, providing legal support on contract negotiation, project planning, and risk management. Collaborate with a team of skilled attorneys in a dynamic, challenging, and supportive work environment, contributing to both transactional and litigation matters.
