Description
We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Construction Billing Specialist in Northern Greater Cincinnati. In the construction industry, you will play a pivotal role in managing client billing, maintaining meticulous records, and ensuring adherence to industry guidelines and standards.
Responsibilities:
• Generate AIA billing documents such as G702, G703, ensuring accuracy and compliance with both contract terms and industry norms.
• Review and analyze contracts, agreements, and project details to comprehend billing requirements and milestones accurately.
• Collaborate effectively with project management teams to acquire necessary information and verify work completion for billing.
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of billing packages to clients, adhering to billing schedules and deadlines.
• Maintain a comprehensive record of billing activities, including but not limited to invoice tracking, payment processing, and reconciliation.
• Address and resolve billing discrepancies by liaising with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors as necessary.
• Remain abreast with updates or changes in AIA billing guidelines, industry regulations, and best practices.
• Assist in month-end close processes and financial reporting as needed.
• Provide auxiliary support to the finance team for ad hoc projects and tasks when required.
Requirements • Proficiency in AIA Billing is mandatory for this position.
• Experience with AIA Documents is required.
• Must have a strong working knowledge of Excel Formulas.
• A background in the construction or contractor industry is essential.
• Demonstrated experience in construction billing or a related field.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with diverse teams.
• High level of initiative and ability to work independently.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve billing discrepancies.
• Familiarity with construction industry standards and regulations.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to keep accurate records.
