Your Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Contract Administrator to join our growing Program and Construction Management team. Working under a Senior Contract Administrator, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and administering construction contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and mitigating risks. This position requires a hybrid work model with a minimum of 3-4 days in-office per week or on-site presence at client locations for multi-year major infrastructure projects.
Your Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze construction contracts (subcontracts, purchase orders, etc.) for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Prepare and issue contract documents, including amendments, change orders, and notices. Track contract performance, monitor milestones, and identify potential issues or delays. Prepare and maintain comprehensive contract files and records. Support negotiation and resolution of contract disputes and claims with subcontractors and suppliers. Provide administrative support to project managers and other stakeholders on contract-related matters. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices. Assist in the development and implementation of contract management processes and procedures.Your Capabilities and Credentials
Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues proactively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and contract management software. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proven experience in contract negotiation, dispute resolution, and claim analysis is considered an asset. Possess a valid driver’s license with good driving record.Education and Experience
Minimum two (2) years of experience in construction contract administration, with a strong understanding of construction contracts and subcontracts. Bachelor's degree or certificate in Construction Management, Engineering, Law, or a related field is preferred. Additional Information Salary Range(s): Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s): Location Description: Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in BC (Lower Mainland includes Vancouver & Burnaby) Min Pay Range: Lower Mainland $60,200 Max Pay Range: Lower Mainland $84,300 Note: The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
