Job Title: Construction Coordinator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Construction Coordinator to oversee a substation project in Fredericksburg, VA. This project is expected to last 8-10 months, with potential for extension and opportunities to work on additional projects afterwards. The Construction Coordinator will be responsible for driving subcontractor performance, ensuring overall production and quality, and leading a team of up to 25 people.

ResponsibilitiesOversee the construction and commissioning phases of the substation project.Drive subcontractor performance to ensure project goals are met.Lead and manage subcontractor crews in building the substation.Ensure overall production and quality of the project and the crew.Manage up to 25 team members at a time.Ensure work is executed in accordance with safety, quality, reporting, contract, standards, change management, risk management, and schedule requirements.Communicate effectively with the project team and stakeholders.Conduct standardized reporting and appropriate construction meetings.Essential SkillsSubstation Construction Management experience.Distribution Construction Management experience.Proficiency in electrical distribution and power delivery.Experience with construction documents and QA/QC processes.Strong computer and reporting skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Entergy projects is a plus.Knowledge of transmission, safety, and electrical project management.Strong experience in construction management.Work Environment

This role involves working in the field to coordinate and oversee subcontractor crews. The project is expected to last for about a year, with working hours generally exceeding 50+ per week. The standard work schedule consists of 10-hour workdays, 5 days a week. You will receive standard per diem, time-and-a-half pay for overtime, and reimbursement for up to 1200 miles per month. Additional benefits include holidays and PTO, which are billed back to the customer. Successful performance on this project may lead to future opportunities, as there is a strong backlog of work for 2024 and 2025.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00
