Job Title: Construction Manager
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee a substation project in Deridder, LA. The substation project has an average duration of 8-10 months, with potential for extension and additional projects available afterwards. The role involves leading subcontractor crews to build a substation, ensuring overall production and quality, and managing a team of up to 25 people.

ResponsibilitiesOversee construction and commissioning phases of substation projects.Drive subcontractor performance to meet safety, quality, contract, standards, change management, risk management, and schedule requirements.Lead subcontractor crews to build a substation.Ensure overall production and quality of the job and crews.Communicate effectively with project team and stakeholders.Conduct standardized reporting and construction meetings.Essential SkillsExperience in Substation Construction Management.Experience in Distribution Construction Management.Knowledge of electrical distribution and power delivery.Proficiency in construction documentation and QA/QC processes.Strong computer and reporting skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Entergy projects is a plus.Background in construction, project management, transmission, and electrical safety.Ability to work long hours, including 10-hour workdays for 5 days a week.Capability to manage a team of up to 25 people.Work Environment

This role involves fieldwork, pushing and coordinating the work of subcontractor crews. The project is expected to last around a year with working hours generally exceeding 50 hours per week. The position offers standard per diem, time and a half for overtime, and mileage reimbursement up to 1200 miles per month. The workweek consists of 5-10 hour days, with 7 days of per diem and an additional 6 hours for drive times per week. Holidays and PTO are offered and billed back to the customer, with potential future project work available within Entergy and other utilities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.
