Job Description:

Job Responsibilities

• Provides construction coordination for assigned projectswith a defined area or areas.• Inspects utility construction projects to ensure adherenceto company construction guidelines, standards andspecifications.• Inspects all phases of construction projects, including butnot limited to trenching, pipe installation and aerial cableinstallation.• Oversees work of contractors to ensure conformance tocontract specifications.• Coordinates with private engineers, city engineers, citymaintenance personnel, utility representatives,underground and aerial contractors and governmententities to ensure alignment and appropriate constructionactivity.• Maintains records of ongoing construction for as-builtreferences, pay request approval and plan verification.• Makes field adjustments and redesign suggestions toresolve problems or conflicts, authorizes change ordersaccordingly.• Responds to questions, concerns and complaints regardingutility construction projects.• Reviews and comments on design plan and specificationsprior to bid.

Experience

3-4 years of experience

Education and Certifications

HS diploma or equivalent.Valid drivers’ license.Completion of Systems Technician courseCompletion of NCTI Fiber Testing & Maintenance courseand Cable One Technical Training Center system course (asapplicable)
