Development Analyst, NYC

*All candidates must be local to the NYC Metro area as this role is on a flexible hybrid schedule out of our NYC headquarters in Manhattan. 

 

We’re seeking a New York City Metro-based Development Analyst to join our Real Estate, Development, and Construction team. The Development Analyst will support the Development Department through the tracking, management, and in some cases, the development of contracts, project costs, invoices, tenant improvement allowance distribution, cashflow, cash forecasting, and development project schedules. The Development Analyst will report directly to the VP of Construction. 

What You’ll Do:

Manage Project Finances:  Track project budgets, oversee bidding processes, manage invoices, and monitor project payments throughout the project lifecycle. Oversee Capital Expenditure (CapEx) Projects: Prepare, issue, and track project work authorizations in collaboration with Procurement. Gather and evaluate proposals from project managers and consultants. Assemble and review all construction contracts. Manage the CapEx forecast and cash flow. Prepare and distribute a bi-weekly CapEx cash flow tracker to stakeholders. Manage Tenant Improvement Allowances: Oversee and administer tenant improvement allowances for all projects. Maintain Project Schedules: Manage and maintain the overall development schedule. Provide bi-weekly updates on project progress Ensure Project Cost Visibility:Track and report on project costs in real-time.Monitor and communicate any changes to project budgets.

What We Look For:

3-5+ years of accounting or analyst experience. Knowledge of Banner and Procore (preferred). Strong Excel skills, including v/h lookup and pivot tables. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, or a related field (preferred). Experience in cost accounting or the construction industry (preferred). Desire to grow within the construction industry. Excellent teamwork and independent work skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. Detail-oriented and accurate.

Base Salary:

Salary Min: $80,000  Salary Max: $90,000

This role is also eligible for Convene's annual incentive performance bonus plan.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
