Job Title: Construction EstimatorJob Description We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Estimator to create detailed cost estimates for construction projects up to $10 million in scope. This role involves analyzing project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates. The ideal candidate will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure accurate and competitive bids, and maintain relationships with local subcontractors and suppliers. Responsibilities + Create detailed cost estimates for construction projects up to $10 million in scope. + Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates. + Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure accurate and competitive bids. + Identify and evaluate local subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing. + Develop and maintain relationships with local subcontractors and suppliers. + Review and analyze subcontractor bids for accuracy and completeness. + Utilize estimating software to prepare and manage estimates. + Present and explain estimates to clients, project managers, and other stakeholders. + Monitor and update estimates as project conditions change. + Assist in the preparation of project budgets and schedules. Essential Skills + Minimum of five years of experience as a Construction Estimator in the construction industry. + Proven track record of successfully bidding and winning projects up to $10 million in scope. + Strong knowledge of local subcontractors and the local bidding process. + Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., ProEst, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, etc.). + Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. + Strong attention to detail and accuracy. + Effective communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Strong organizational and time management skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Bluebeam, Procore, and Onscreen Takeoff software. Work Environment This position is based in an office environment.
