Shawmut Design and Construction is looking for an intern to work within our Finance Team helping to support our clients. We are looking for somebody who would thrive in a fast-paced environment and wants to learn more about Corporate Finance and how we work with other departments throughout the company.
We are looking for college students (rising Juniors and Seniors) seeking internships for the summer of 2025.
The internship will start in early to early June and will last up to 8-10 weeks or more depending on your availability.
Responsibilities Work closely with the Project Accountants to ensure daily tasks are completeLearn the systems and imaging software used including CMiC and KofaxLearn about the different workflows in the Finance department Interact with other departments such as Group Finance to ensure projects are running smoothly and vendors are paid timely when properly compliantSupport our internal clients on Accounting needsTransition between departments to understand how we interact and work together Assist Corporate Accounting in reconciliations Qualifications Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related fieldRising Junior or Seniors preferred Excellent organizational and time management skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to meet deadlinesDemonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
