**Job Title: Construction General Laborer** **Job Description** Laborers have the general responsibility to provide support and assistance to other skilled crafts working on the project. They provide support for form carpenters, concrete operations, ironworkers/rodbusters installing reinforcing steel, and masons installing block and brickwork. This is a safety-sensitive position. **Responsibilities** + Prepare areas for concrete placement by performing final excavation of dirt and rock, and fine grading for floor slabs, which involves shoveling for extended periods of time. + Assemble concrete forms by lifting prefabricated metal form panels and assisting in their placement. + Handle the concrete bucket suspended from a crane to transfer concrete from the truck to the placement area, and then spread the concrete evenly. + Assist in stripping concrete forms and transporting them for storage after the concrete has cured. + Support concrete finishers in moving power trowels and power screeds to finish concrete surfaces. + Support block masons by handling and transporting bags of cement, lime, sand, and grout, as well as stocking blocks and bricks. + Assist carpenters in handling and setting door frames by transporting them from storage to work areas and stacking them where needed. + Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute site materials according to project plans and specifications.
