In this role, you will work on WisDOT or other local agency roadway and bridge construction projects. This position has strong opportunities for growth and advancement as we continue to expand our transportation engineering business line in Wisconsin. We encourage highly motivated engineers or technicians that have a strong interest in advancing in transportation engineering and construction inspection to apply.
Responsibilities:
• Take a leadership role in managing construction projects for WisDOT or other local agencies.
• Establish strong relationships with WisDOT and/or local municipalities.
• Conduct construction oversight and inspection.
• Perform materials testing and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Conduct field measurements to monitor progress and quality.
• Complete construction closeout documentation.
Education:
• Bachelor or associate degree in civil engineering or construction management.
• Minimum of two summers of field construction inspection experience working with WisDOT, Illinois Tollway, Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), or another government agency.
• Strong knowledge of roadway and bridge construction projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to lead and communicate effectively with project teams.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
