Job Title: Construction Inspector
Job Description

We are looking for dedicated Construction Inspectors to inspect, observe, and document construction and maintenance projects while performing tests on soils and materials. You will work under the supervision of a Project Engineer, and your day-to-day activities may be supervised by a client’s direct employee. This role requires travel and availability to work in any part of the State, with assignments subject to change as work demands. You must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and be able to work night shifts when necessary.

ResponsibilitiesInspect and observe construction and maintenance projects.Document construction and maintenance activities.Perform tests on soils and materials.Work under the supervision of a Project Engineer.Travel to various locations within the State as required.Be available to work night shifts when necessary.Essential Skills3-5 years of experience in construction inspection, management, or performance.Prior experience with VDOT or similar public agencies.Experience in heavy civil, highway, rail, or utility construction.Construction inspection experience.Roadway and aggregate testing experience.EIT certification.Additional Skills & QualificationsACI Concrete Certification.Asphalt 1&2 Certification.2+ years of VDOT experience.Ability to recognize names and basic definitions of VDOT construction management terminology.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00
