Construction Inspector
Please contact Jackie Ross with questions - 216 / 573 / 5512Job Description + Work under supervision of a Resident Engineer, Project Manager + Serve as Project Inspector on construction projects + Oversee daily inspection of work performed by the contractor + Record daily construction activities, quantities, contractor’s equipment and on-site personnel + Attending and facilitating construction progress meetings + Schedule and review material testing and make sure results are per project requirements and specifications + Provide civil engineering drafting support (Bridge/Site/Roadway/Traffic) as necessary + Obtain and maintain safety certifications and client pre-qualifications (ODOT/OTIC) Essential Skills + 1+ year of construction inspection experience OR 2+ years working in the construction trades OR vocational school/associate degree + Experience in construction, bridge inspection is a plus + Proficiency in concrete and asphalt inspection + Must have a clean driving record Additional Skills & Qualifications + Certifications in ODOT Project inspection + NICET Construction Certification + Familiarity with AutoCad and Microstation is a plus + ODOT certification is a plus Work Environment This is an on-site job that involves going to different sites to inspect and record findings. Some travel is involved but most travel is local within 1.5 hours. The work hours are from 8-5pm with flexibility, and overtime is very possible during the busy season.
