Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Inspector with experience in infrastructure projects, particularly in wastewater, stormwater, and sewers. This role involves extensive fieldwork, observing and documenting various construction projects, and working closely with experienced members.
ResponsibilitiesObserve and document the construction of airports, highways, streets, sewer and water systems, dams, bridges, buildings, and building systems (HVACR, electrical, plumbing, security, and communication systems), and other structures and facilities.Travel throughout PA/DE to work in the field and ensure construction plans and specifications are followed.Work within the Infrastructure - Sewer Assessment and Rehab team.Report to the wastewater/water practice lead and collaborate with a team of 15 people, consisting of field staff and in-house engineers.Essential SkillsHigh school diploma (degree in engineering or construction management is highly favored).NICET level 1 certification (preferred).Valid driver's license.Prior construction experience or observation.Ability to read construction plans and specifications.Experience with inspection of infrastructure projects (wastewater, stormwater, sewers, etc.).QualificationsConstruction inspection.ACI certification.Experience with municipal wastewater and sewer rehabilitation.Knowledge in density gauge, nuclear density gauge, and compaction testing.Work Environment
This position involves working 90% in the field and 10% in the office. You will be part of a team of 15 people, including a variety of field staff and in-house engineers. The role requires traveling throughout PA/DE and working closely with experienced inspectors. When not in the field, you will work in the office, reporting to the wastewater/water practice lead. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
