This role requires at least one year of experience in construction inspection and materials testing. Responsibilities + Conduct field inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards. + Perform materials testing, including concrete and asphalt testing. + Prepare detailed inspection reports and documentation. + Collaborate with project engineers and construction managers to address any issues or discrepancies. + Ensure adherence to safety regulations and protocols on job sites. Essential Skills + 1+ year of construction inspection and materials testing experience. + ACI Certification. + Valid driver's license and ability to pass an MVR check. + Ability to travel to various job sites within the Greater Pittsburgh area. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High school diploma or GED. + NECEPT Certification (preferred). + Experience in field construction, project engineering, and quality control inspection. + Strong knowledge of construction practices and materials testing procedures. Work Environment The Construction Inspector will spend approximately 90% of their time on job sites, with the remaining 10% divided between the lab and office. The role involves traveling to various locations, and employees are compensated at a rate of 77 cents per mile for driving. The work environment includes a combination of outdoor site inspections and indoor lab/office work, ensuring a diverse and dynamic work experience.
