**30650BR** **Service Line:** Materials **Office Name:** Atlanta **Job Description:** General Responsibilities: Perform daily inspections of construction projects, ensuring quality and adherence to building code requirements, construction drawings, and project specifications. The role involves inspecting materials, components, and welds for compliance with design documents and industry standards, as well as conducting NDE and field testing. Prepare detailed inspection reports, document observations, and test results, and communicate findings to senior inspectors or project managers. When necessary, collaborate with the project team to resolve potential issues. Strict adherence to safety standards is required at all times. Essential Roles and Responsibilities: + Performs testing, observation, and inspection as directed in accordance with training and the specified procedures. + Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. + Provides clear documentation of findings and results. + Performs basic analysis of data to verify accuracy before communication and submittal to the Project Manager. + Communicates information to Project Manager and other personnel as directed by the Project Manager. + Draft inspection reports for review by senior inspector and/or Project Managers. + May assist more senior inspectors on projects. + Maintains equipment and calibration. + Follows safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects. Performs pre-task planning prior to executing work. Requirements: + High school diploma or equivalent. + Associate's degree in civil engineering technology or construction engineering technology preferred. + Minimum 2-4 years’ experience as an NDT Inspector or other applicable experience. + 2-4 years’ experience in construction inspection preferred. + Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history. Required Certification: + American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspector (CWI-D1.1) + ICC certification (Structural Steel – Bolting) or ability to obtain within 4 to 8 weeks.
