Construction Inspector NICET Level III
Job Title: Highway Construction Inspector - NICET Level III Job Description The ideal candidate must have strong technical experience in highway construction, specifically in concrete and asphalt paving, and hold the necessary certifications to maintain quality and safety standards on site. A minimum of 5 years of experience in highway or infrastructure inspection or related construction roles is required. Responsibilities + Inspect highway construction sites to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. + Conduct concrete and asphalt testing to verify materials meet required specifications. + Utilize inspection equipment to monitor construction activities and document findings. + Coordinate with construction teams to ensure project timelines and objectives are met. + Prepare detailed reports on inspection findings and recommend corrective actions when necessary. Essential Skills + Possession of NICET Level III certification in Construction or Highway Materials, or a related field. + Minimum of 5 years of experience in highway or infrastructure inspection or related construction roles. + Strong technical knowledge of highway construction practices, particularly in concrete and asphalt paving. + Ability to commute to various locations in New Jersey. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with NJDOT, PADOT, and INDOT standards. + Proficiency in civil construction and engineering practices. + Knowledge of environmental field regulations. Work Environment Must be able to work flexible hours, including day and overnight shifts, and in various weather conditions. Schedules are subject to change based on project needs.
