**Job Title: Labor Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a reliable and eager Labor Technician with at least 6 months of construction experience or relevant high school trade classes. The project involves jobsite cleanup, moving materials, and prepping the jobsite in downtown Des Moines. Candidates must be able to operate hand and power tools and read a tape measure. This is an 8-10 week project with the potential for longer-term employment based on performance. **Responsibilities** + Site cleanup and demolition labor on a commercial jobsite + Work with metal panels and operate a screw gun + Lift 50+ pounds on/off trailers + Use basic tools such as hammer and screwdriver + Read and interpret tape measures + Work 10-hour days, Monday through Friday, with potential for Saturday work **Essential Skills** + 6+ months of general labor experience within construction + Ability to lift 50+ pounds + Proficiency in operating hand and power tools + Ability to read a tape measure + Mechanically inclined **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in carpentry, concrete, and demolition work + Reliable and eager to work **Why Work Here?** Our office is located in downtown Des Moines, and we are building a self-perform non-union crew specializing in commercial construction, including schools, offices, retail, and other commercial projects. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects and grow within the company. **Work Environment** The work environment includes various commercial settings such as schools, offices, and retail spaces. The standard work hours are from 7:00 AM to 5/6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential for Saturday work. Candidates should be prepared to work 60 hours a week on some occasions.
