**Job Title: Construction Laborer** **Job Description** As a construction laborer, you will play a crucial role in our construction projects. Your responsibilities include unloading and loading materials, reading plans and specifications, tending machines, and assisting carpenters, operating engineers, and other construction site workers. You will also clean and prepare construction sites, assist in erecting and dismantling scaffolding, and properly dispose of debris and waste materials. **Responsibilities** + Unload and load materials both manually and using equipment. + Read and interpret blueprints or instructions from supervisors. + Assist in erecting and dismantling scaffolding. + Remove and properly dispose of debris and waste materials. + Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials properly. + Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, chisels, sanders, hoists, and others as directed by management. + Follow all safety procedures on the job site and report violations immediately. + Work with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall. + Check work regularly to ensure it meets codes and specifications. **Essential Skills** + 1+ years of experience in construction. + OSHA 10 certification. + Ability to work quickly, productively, and safely without errors. + Ability to follow instructions from supervisors and comply with safety and personnel policies. + Willingness to travel to all job sites with a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation. + Ability to stand for long periods and lift a minimum of 50 pounds. + Must be 18 years of age. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma or equivalent preferred. + Experience in finish carpentry, cabinetry, and punch list. + Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism. + Ability to work overtime as needed. **Why Work Here?** We offer a true 6-month contract to hire, with consistent work year-round. The dress code requires work boots and jeans. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Latham, New York. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
