Job Description:

Parsons Corporation is now hiring for a Construction Management Intern starting as soon as possible to support engineering and construction projects throughout Southern & Central California! Can be based out of either Pasadena or Bakersfield.

Parsons' internship program will allow you exposure to major state and area projects and guide you in gaining and honing your technical and managerial skills through training and expert mentorship!

What You’ll Be Doing:

Completing a variety of assignments such as field installation observations, engineering, tracking contractor submittals, quality assurance, and certifying work completed.

Reviewing small and portions of larger contractor drawing submittals and assisting in performing technical bid analyses.

Review specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents and ensure contractor is building in accordance with those referenced.

Utilizes a CAD workstation to prepare engineering drawings consisting of basic arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, etc., from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures.

Utilizes technical manuals and directives to ensure compliance with codes and company policies. Becomes familiar with various standards and codes relevant to project work

Compiles data and performs dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings.

Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management

Literate in PC software, a working knowledge of CAD, and other computer software used to complete design assignments.

Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

Working knowledge of engineering and construction

Ability to work on-site at the airport.

Salary Range: 

$21.44 - $37.55
