Overview This position is open to a student who is interested in a summer internship. Will strongly condsider a post grad (Dec 2024 and May 2025) that would be interested in working as an intern. POSITION SUMMARY: Operations Intern personnel are responsible to assist and learn from the operations staff with the overall safety, direction, completion, and financial outcome of construction projects from GMP approval through project closeout. Operations Interns shall maintain positive and effective working relationships with both internal and external members of the Project Team, including Owners, Designers, Engineers, Field Operations, Trade Partners, Program Managers, and Pre-Construction Managers. The individual will assist with Owner meetings, Trade Partner meetings, trade partner buyouts, material procurement, job site safety, job site quality, project schedule, writing subcontracts, owner change orders, subcontractor change orders, cost forecasting, and construction document management. • Assist with the business development team to comprehensively support strategic growth pursuits. • Support Preconstruction efforts with general conditions, general requirements, schedule preparation, logistics, and constructability review. • Participate in Owner and Trade Partner Events Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Student attending college/university currently enrolled in a 4 year degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or related field of study OR post grad student (December 2024 or May 2025 with degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or related field of study. Other Skills/Knowledge: Being able to read and interprete contract documents, drawings, and specifications. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Effective oral/written communication; effectively shares knowledge and information. Flexible and creative in finding new ways to improve the organization’s effectiveness. Flexible and creative in finding ways to solve problems. Construction problems and owner’s problems. Being able to learn Cost Management software (VISTA, CMiC, etc.). Being able to learn sheduling software (Microsoft Project, P3/6, Asta, etc.). Being able to learn Construction Document Management software (Procore, CMiC, Plan Grid, etc.).
