We are seeking a Construction Manager to join our team in our Missoula, MT. In this role you will lead and manage all aspects of utility construction for various types of telecom projects overseeing site planning, scheduling, budgeting and resource allocation.

The Role

Leads and manages all aspects of utility construction for various types of telecom projectsResponsible for overseeing site planning, scheduling, budgeting and resource allocationSupervises and coordinates onsite construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, building codes and safety regulationsConducts regular site inspections to monitor progress, identifies potential issues or risks and implements corrective actions as neededManages relationships with external contractors, vendors and suppliers, ensuring alignment with project requirements and company standardsPrepares and maintains accurate project documentation, including progress reports, construction drawings, permits and change ordersCommunicates effectively with project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones and budgetary considerationsImplements and enforces best practices for construction quality control, safety protocol and environmental complianceWorks a flexible schedule with varied hours; some evenings and weekends as needed


Requirements Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or relevant field of study; or equivalent work experience10+ years of total relevant experience including significant experience in a supervisory/leadership roleOSHA 10 certification a plusKnowledge and prior work experience in telecom construction industry - Coax Splicing, Fiber Splicing, Directional Drilling, map reading, etc.Knowledge and experience with aerial and underground constructionPractical knowledge of Network operations and associated inventory for both RF and fiber networksExperience in estimating, bidding projects and change order preparationProblem-solving and like to troubleshoot problems as they arise in the fieldEmbrace the challenge of coaching and mentoring your teamWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn custom softwareExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsProfessional demeanorMust possess the capacity to learn, adapt to change, and become proficient quicklyAbility to manage stress, exercise self-control, adhere to company policies and uphold the mission of the organizationAbility to work a flexible schedule with varied hours; some evenings and weekends as neededValid driver’s licensePassing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
