About being our Construction Manager \n

As our Construction Manager, you'll play a crucial role within Psomas' Construction Management Group, focusing on high-impact projects for the Bay Area Regional Team in Sunnyvale, California. You'll manage key assignments for the Sunnyvale Cleanwater Program, which includes a series of renovation projects for the water pollution control plant, valued at over $300 million in construction through 2028 and beyond. This is a full-time role on a high-profile program and includes civil, mechanical, electrical and structural elements. Candidates must be able to make the daily commute. \n

Responsibility Highlights for our Construction Manager\n\nServe as primary owner representative overseeing, performing, and coordinating daily construction management activities to monitor that the project is constructed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, budget and schedule\nResolve daily construction issues and lead interactions with clients, designers, contractors and regulatory agencies\nOversee field construction, contract administration, and manage staff and subcontractors\nAdminister contracts, review schedules, document project progress, and respond to claims from the contractor, and answer requests for information, submittals, and change orders\nFacilitate project success by resolving issues fairly and effectively\n\n

Minimum Qualifications to be our Construction Manager\n\nBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline\nActive California Professional Engineering (PE) License or accreditation as a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) through Construction Management Association of America (CMAA)\n10 years of experience managing construction or engineering for wastewater facilities, public works infrastructure, and heavy civil projects\nKnowledge of the construction process and the ability to read, understand, and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications\nExcellent verbal, written, and digital communication skills including fluency with Microsoft programs and construction management software\nAbility to work independently and in a team environment and manage deadlines\nAbility to work on an active construction site, including walking over uneven terrain, climbing ladders, crawling, stooping and entering confined spaces, being outdoors in inclement weather, wearing proper safety equipment, and practicing industry safety protocols\n\n
