Job DescriptionAECOM is currently seeking a Construction Manager for a Federal Client in the DC Metro Area to provide onsite construction management services The role involves performing full-time, on-site CMS services, which includes continuous surveillance throughout the construction process.
The CM will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Act as the lead for managing the oversight of construction projectsWill cooperate in the development of implementation strategies and planning, review of master construction schedules and monitoring setting up and implementing safety procedures and policies by contractorsOn-site Construction Management for sitesAccountability for developing, managing, and reporting on safety, scope, schedule, and budgetManages and advocates for safe worksites by adhering to organizational and industry proceduresShares lessons learned with relevant stakeholdersRegular internal reporting of project status and costs to meet KPI’s and budget requirementsServe as project single point of contact for construction and communicates delivery status and progressCoordinate meetings and activities for contractors, vendors, cost managers, and integration of lessons learnedSupport of Federal client, regulatory agencies, stakeholders and community engagement activities and negotiations for new Task Orders.In order to be successful, you must have a strong background in project and construction management, be capable to work in a dynamic and global organization, and have a strong desire to continually learn and innovateProven working experience in construction managementHave a strong background in project management and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to drive desired outcomesHaving expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards, applicable to the projectHave general knowledge and experience with a broad variety of construction means and methodsPossess the ability to monitor construction activities across various design disciplines that include civil, architecture, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, building technology engineering, and systemsBe fluent in business EnglishWork well within a fast-paced organization who is a self-starter, process-minded, and collaborativeUnderstanding of design specs and drawingsQualificationsMinimum Requirements
