We are hiring an On-Site Construction Manager for a project at the Michelin Plant in Anderson, SC. This role involves consolidating, challenging, and elaborating input data for the project, coordinating with team members, ensuring compliance with internal standards and local legal requirements, and overseeing the realization, installation, commissioning, and reception of the building and utilities. You will also be responsible for optimizing project specifications, feasibility studies, and the organization, piloting, and control of team activities throughout the project.
Responsibilities
+ Consolidate opportunity studies (scope, cost, and schedule).
+ Ensure the optimization of specifications by challenging and consolidating needs.
+ Conduct feasibility studies, organizing and consolidating internal or external deliverables.
+ Organize, pilot, and control team activities throughout the project.
+ Write consultation files and research/select service providers for study and construction phases.
+ Deliver a Basic Design file (detailed design).
+ Follow, validate, and receive outsourced services.
+ Ensure follow-up of evolutions by instructing requests for modifications.
+ Transmit estimates, consolidated schedules, and updated risk analyses.
+ Ensure compliance with site safety rules.
+ Ensure the quality, schedule, and budget of the works carried out.
+ Collaborate with Procurement for contracting purchases.
+ Ensure compliance of infrastructures for process teams.
+ Manage customer modifications and external complaints.
+ Organize procedures for commissioning and reception of works and equipment.
+ Draw up end-of-case reports, present end-of-project analysis, and archive all documents.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
+ Seven years of relevant experience.
+ Highly articulate with a clear and analytical approach to problem-solving.
+ Strong decision-making abilities.
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills.
+ Strong construction estimating skills.
+ Strong knowledge of construction and procurement strategies.
+ Proficiency with project scheduling software.
+ Ability to navigate web-based construction management software.
+ Thorough understanding and utilization of Information Technology, including Internet, Intranet, Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Project.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Building construction/state license.
+ 30-hour training in OSHA safety requirements.
+ CMAA/PMI certification.
Work Environment
This is an on-site role at the Michelin Plant in Anderson, SC, approximately 30 miles from Greenville, SC. The work environment includes daily communication with clients and contractors, coordinating resources for the completion of assigned tasks, and providing project reports as necessary.
