About the Role:
We are supporting the City of Hesperia in the search for a Project Manager. They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage public facilities and construction projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring our city’s infrastructure meets the highest standards and serves our community effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership: Manage capital improvement projects from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with city, state, and federal standards.Field Inspections: Conduct field inspections to ensure contract compliance and resolve construction-related issues.Plan Review: Review construction plans, specifications, and engineering calculations for new facilities.Cost Management: Perform project cost estimates and analyses, ensuring projects stay within budget and on schedule.Documentation: Prepare and process reimbursement requests, bid documents, and contracts.Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain regular contact with consulting engineers, contractors, and various governmental agencies.Reporting: Prepare project progress reports and present findings to city staff, management, and council.Team Collaboration: Work closely with consultants and engineering design teams to meet project goals.Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, planning, real estate development, construction, engineering, or a related field.Experience: At least two years of technical, complex, and professional construction and/or development experience.Licenses: Valid class “C” California driver’s license and relevant construction/engineering certifications.Why Join them?
