Construction Manager

System One is currently seeking a strong Construction Manager to involved in major complex projects of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The ideal Construction Manager will have a strong civil background to support solar panel for the BESS.
Construction Manager Responsibilities: Supports the management of specific portions of project budget, schedule, overall Construction and Site Safety (both Personnel and Environmental) and can provide accurate, concise updates to management. Involved in major complex generation projects focused on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) typically exceeding $50M. On-Site Field Representative to administer contract to ensure EPC, General and Sub-Contractors install in accordance with IFC drawings, contract, schedule, and budget while overseeing Personnel and Environmental Safety (OSHA, SPCC and SWPPP) and Quality Assurance. Projects are within client service territories and typically last a few years each, therefore, the day-to-day office location will be the project site. Drive provided goals for internal team and achieve performance-based results. Typically reports to a Construction Project Manager.
Construction Manager Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology. Experience with substation interconnection, distribution, and transmission. Knowledge and experience with SCADA systems and IT related software. Possess leadership skills with a project team or multiple teams. Effective negotiating skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation capabilities. Strong critical thinking skills are necessary. Skilled in implementing and managing new construction and/or improvement projects. Strong team building skills. Ability to develop, manage, and monitor project performance to ensure results meet project requirements and schedules. Ability to resolve technical problems and implement changes. Ability to collaborate with multiple entities; internal and external to meet project completion requirements. Well versed in reading/interpreting IFC drawings (Construction, Civil, Mechanical and Electrical) Strong Safety background (Personnel and Environmental) Familiar with rigging and handling operations for heavy/critical lifts.
