Construction Manager
Amentum, a global leader in critical mission support, engineering, technology, and national security solutions, is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician - NICET Certified III at Mayport Naval Base in Jacksonville, Florida. **POSITION SUMMARY** + Primary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: + Monitor, inspect, document and advise on all projects to include troop labor construction, as required. + Prepare and submit reports of project status and progress weekly to the Site Manager and government contact (COR). + Update project data from all active construction projects in an integrated master schedule at least weekly. + Verify measurements, construction adequacy, and work being completed IAW the plans and specifications. + Review shop drawings and product submittals and provide recommendations through the Site Lead. + Visit construction sites daily. Typical site visits shall last thirty (30) minutes at each construction site to provide sufficient time to note progress and any issues. Site visits shall occur at a minimum of two (2) times per week separated by at least one (1) calendar day. + Visit construction sites weekly and attend any inspections or identified events in construction. + Review construction sites daily, document the reviews on AF Form 1477 or acceptable substitute and file the documentation in the project folder. + Manage, monitor, and inspect, document and advise on projects as required. + Attend the weekly construction meetings and may attend project specific meetings on a weekly basis regarding the specific projects to ensure the Project Managers are informed of the most up to date information. + Advise and/or assist construction Contractors to resolve escort and access issues, as applicable. + Travel to areas in the local area outside of the military installation to verify design requirements and quality of work being performed. + Read, interpret, and decipher all construction documents (schedules, specifications, blueprints, schematics, diagrams, etc.), participate in design reviews, and ensure that all construction is performed in accordance with the construction documents. + May attend project-specific meetings on a weekly basis. + Perform other duties as assigned. **REQUIREMENT** + Minimum of three (3) years of experience coupled with a two (2)-year degree from an accredited college or university in any engineering, construction technology, or construction management discipline. + Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance. **PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT** + CM must be capable of working in environments of extreme heat, solar intensity, dryness, humidity, and physically capable of handling basic activities such as lifting, walking, climbing stairs, and others in extreme environments. **OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:** + **Safety** - Amentum enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment.
